  • Américo is currently the Head of Solutions Architecture AWS, for the Areas in Latin America called NOLA/SOLA (All Latin America, except Brazil and Mexico). He moved from Brazil to Chile in 2018 to start the team in the district from the scratch, with Solution Architects based in many countries, like Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and US as well. Previous to his current role, Américo started at AWS in 2016, holding the responsibility of Business Development in Latin America, for the areas of Big Data, Analytics, Databases, AI/ML and IoT. During his career, Américo worked with customers in several industries, specially Retail, Manufacturing and Consumer Packaged Goods, in areas like Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Applications, Analytics, Data Warehouse, Big Data, and Industrial Automation. Américo is currently focusing on improving industry knowledge across the region, with a track record of incubating new roles in his team (Specialist Solution Architects, Customer Solution Managers, Industry Advisors), and helping companies in NOLA/SOLA to successfully innovate using AWS. Américo is also a speaker in AWS and 3rd party events, in topics like Amazon Culture of Innovation, among others. Before AWS, Américo worked in consulting and leadership roles at Microsoft, Teradata, SAS and J.D.Edwards.

  • In this session, Américo will introduce Amazon’s unique approach to innovation, intrinsically connected to technology and how we organize our teams. He will also comment on how we treat the key ingredient for all innovation to happen: people! The session will cover topics such as talent recruitment, leadership development, performance management and the use of data in the search for a healthy organization.
